Artwork Description

This is a beautiful color print of old dutch homes from an old calender. A generally aged piece with negligible damage. The decision was to treat it for general dust ingrained into the paper. However a problem emerged during the treatment whereby the print material lifted off from the paper during the oxidaiton and alkanization process. We decided to complete the aqueous processes upto the re-sizing step.

After Restoration


The missing print media was replaced with meticulous stipling and color matching the various parts of the print. Finally re-sized to the paper and print.
